SAVE THE DATE: MORA IS BURNING SCREENING & PANEL DISCUSSION

Join us for a poignant evening of reflection, discussion, and advocacy at the Indigo Theater as we mark the 2-year anniversary of the devastating Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire

Coalition for Fire Fund Fairness invites you to a special screening of a compelling new cut of the documentary “Mora is Burning” produced by Scott Campbell, David Cortez and Melete Finch which shines a light on the aftermath of the disaster following the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire and the ongoing struggle for full and just compensation for the victims.

The event will open with remarks from former Attorney General Hector Balderas, followed by the screening and a panel discussion featuring Lieutenant Governor Morales. The conversation will focus on FEMA’s response to the devastating fire and discuss ways forward to achieve justice and fairness. This event is an opportunity for community members, activists, and supporters to come together, learn more about the challenges facing our community, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the path toward recovery.

The event will close with a reception, allowing for continued discussions and reflection.

When: Monday, April 8th, 2024

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
