Lt. Governor Urges New Claims Admin to Make Systemic Change

First, to all who celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend and had a chance to enjoy time with loved ones and share meaningful moments together.

Secondly, I wanted to bring to your attention an op-ed that was published over the weekend in the Albuquerque Journal by Lt. Governor Howie Morales, also featured in the Las Cruces Sun News and the Carlsbad Current-Argus. You may recall that Lt. Gov. Morales joined us last month at the "Mora is Burning" screening and panel, where we marked the two-year anniversary of the fire. In his op-ed, he continues his advocacy for fire victims by outlining the crucial systemic changes the new FEMA claims administrator must implement to mend FEMA’s troubled relationship with survivors and help restore what was lost in the fire.
